Last night I had fun pitching w/ Raul Campos during our Winter Pledge Drive. We gave away
all kinds of great premiums such as Ozomatli Tickets, Dinner for 2 at The Federal Bar, 2 nights stay at
The Standard in West Hollywood, a pair of Audssey Speakers and so much more for all those who
pledged to KCRW. The volunteers kicked ass as well hanging in there till midnight.
The pledge drive continues so make sure to renew or become a member and help support
public radio, independent music and intelligent conversation remain vibrant and strong.
I’m thinking of doing a special exclusive dj mix for those who pledge Monday night after hours
as my way of saying thank you. Hmmmmm…

What an awesome day! D’Angelo is back and performing in Stockholm, weather in LA is at 79 degrees and spent the day
with some of the most creative folks I know. Film session w/ Dexter Story and Def Sound in DTLA and all shot by Holly Port.
Hanging w/ creative folks and then hanging at the MOCA store and posting pics on Instagram really pushed my ADD to
another level. Anyhoo. Hope you enjoy these shots of today. Catch me tonight from 10-Midnight hanging w/ my compa
Raul Campos on 89.9 FM during our pledge drive. We will be raising money for one of the important cultural institutions
in LA and the states. Then after I think I might need a drink at my residency at The Federal Bar in NoHo where Ill be
spinning from 12:20 – till 2 am! Hope to see you!

the can and a follow up is in process. Thanks again to Holly for these shots. Holly is Team Vala
all the way. Check out her work below or here.

Sometimes as a Deejay, you get these incredible nights where anything you play can do no wrong.
Last night was one of those nights. From Luther to Salsa, Tribe to Stevie, there was just constant energy.
Thanks and big love to all the friends, family and new friends who came out and got down with us.
We do it again next Saturday night at Little Temple.
Enjoy your week.

Got home from the gym today and found a nice size package (pause) at my door.
A big thanks to the folks over at Incase for the hook up with some gear. Incase is a big supporter of Dublab
and laced us w/ some cool products to help keep our gear safe, protected and simply looking fly! The 15′ Sleeve
is really cool for my Mac and I highly suggest folks pick these items up if your always on the go. The packpack
is simply dope. Lots of pockets with lots of room to fit various items such as a mouse pad, pens, mags, labtop,
headphones and various other gadgets. Ideal for Dj’s, graphic designers, movers and shakers!
Make sure to check em out at Incase.

I can not explain to you how gigantic the smile on my face was the minute I pulled up to The Federal Bar last night
and saw the Kogi truck parked nearby! I ran to the truck and ordered some pork rib tacos, sliders and proceeded to
enjoy the Roy Choi creation! It was nice to warm things on the turntables and drop some boogie, 80′s throwbacks
and work my way into records I rarely get to play out. Shout outs to my new friends who came out from Simi Valley,
Montebello and from the west side! Another great turn out and we hope to see you all back for another session of
REWIND next Thursday night in the heart of the NoHo Arts District.
