It was an obscure Saturday night. I found my Saturdays open for the next couple of months and was not sure what to do with myself. I threw on sweats and downloaded this movie off ITunes and for the next couple of hours and fell in love with this capture of time! This was a time in America before 9/11, before the internet and during hard economic times. Where men roamed the Bowery in search for a drink. In search of escape. Lionel Rogosin does a fine job of balancing a storyline in the middle of folks being themselves in real time! That is one of the beauties of this film! Check the trailer.
