CHERRYPOPPIN’ RECAP
A big Happy Birthday to KG Superstar! Right after my set at Pattern Bar I headed over to The Room in Hollywood and held down a set alongside Dj’s B-hen and Tendaji Lathan who threw down some mean sets! It’s been a year or so since I dropped a set so I wasnt sure wether to go deep soul or dancefloor madness.

UCLA JAZZ REGGAE FESTIVAL
Im stoked to be a part of this year’s UCLA Jazz Reggae Festival this Sunday! This is my third year and this line up is super fly! Super stoked to see Jhene Aiko on this bill. Bring the sunscreen, beach towels and enjoy an all day concert. Thurz will be holding down the hosting duties and I’ll be on the turntables all day as well. Make sure to say hello!

They said it could never be done! The doctors advised us against it! The pundits dismissed us in 2012! News analysts predicted our demise on a week night! Club owners said our energy was too much for venues! And we are doing it! Making it happen! Positive energy! YESSSSSSSSS!!!

Last night was a reminder to rock shorts at The Goods. I got home full of sweat but it felt good! Big ups to all the folks from the KCRW events department for getting down with us after hosting an intimate night w/ Quadron. After rocking the Natural History Museum I made my way into The Goods. Bypassing the long I managed to work my way to the turntables. Big thanks to Dj Puffs (aka the dog sitter) for warming things up in true Puffs fashion! Lots of Aries in the house celebrating birthdays which always makes for a fun celebration considering how amazing Aries are.

So good to be back behind the turntables at THE GOODS at Zanzibar. Energy was up to a 10 by 10:45. One of the things I love about Fridays is just having fun and seeing the diversity in the crowd. By 11:30 we were in absolute club mode with no signs of slowing. Peep the pics!

Sometimes at SXSW you just have to be at the right place at the right time. I found myself in line with some great folks who provided optimism of getting into the free exclusive Depeche Mode show at Brazos Hall in Austin.
