THE PROMO OF THE PROMO
I am really stoked about Just Visiting dropping on the 5th of June! Emcee/Visionary/All around cool dude supreme
Def Sound is featured on the album. We got our Michel Gondry on shooting a short prom piece to give you a taste of
the track “Precious”. So here is a taste of the taste! The teaspoon of the bite if you will. Look out for the promo clip sometime
next week. Thats it! Have a great day!

CHAT WITH MOUSSA ON MAIN STREET
Last night I saw Moussa (who rolls around Santa Monica and Venice all day and night in his wheelchair) break out in tears
while trying to make it up the curb with a boombox in his other hand. He randomly asked me to grab his boombox and turn off the music
as Whitney began to play. He broke into tears and I was so moved by his passion for music and Whitney. I asked If it might be possible
for me to record a chat about the music that he loves. I hope you enjoy and appreciate his passion for the music of yesterday.

ROCK THE CASBAH | THE JORDAN 4 EXPERIENCE
Last night after my gig I swung by UNDFTD hoping to get a glimpse of a small line out front for the Jordan 4′s.
There was a line of 10 folks hanging out at 2 am. I figured I could go home and get some shut eye then wake in the morning
and hopefully score a spot. People tend to think Im crazy for wanting to wait in a line for X amount of hours for a pair
of kicks. But trust me when I say you see some crazy stuff and meet some cool folks. Okay back to the Jordan 4 quest.
Well, No luck! However I scored a couple of cool drunks singing one of my favorite Clashsongs! I kinda think it was worth
waking up at 9 am for. What do you think? Watch the video below.

CRAY CRAY WEEK | RANDOM
It’s been a crazy week. Shooting videos, hanging w/ bands, doing the KCRW show/MCA tribute, Dublab proton drive,
teaching the dj workshop, the residencies, the blog, First Fridays and so much more. But in the midst of it all you can
always depend Ill bring a camera with me. Hope you dig these shots of a few of my favorite artists I got to hang with
including Anna of Sonnymoon, The Seshen out of SF, Holly Port who is assisting me in creating some wonderful
projects and a few strangers on the street of Sunset Blvd. Hope you dig!

THE WEEK(S) IN REVIEW
Sometimes I feel like my head might explode via all the emails, texts, phone conversations that go into different projects.
Then there are days where I feel guilty for not making it to the gym because I spent an entire day re editing tracks,
prepping for the radio show, sending out the single, spending 4 hours on the highway, but the truth is I love every
single of it. Along the way I see some pretty cool stuff. Thank you I Phone for stepping in for those last minute shots.
(editors note – I am now off to the gym!)

INTERSTATE HIGHWAY 15
I intended on taking lots of pics of Vegas and last night’s gig but ended up falling in love w/ the I 15. The natural setting
of the desert was peaceful and visually stimulating. I think I listened to a total of 5 Marc Maron podcasts of WTF while
looking at the sky and pulling over several times to catch some cool shots of some of the various areas along the
1-15 + a bonus of the hotel room. Hope you dig!

PALM SPRINGS 1 DAY VACATION
It was nice to get out of LA for a day with the camera and get some sun. We departed at 2 am right after my gig at
The Virgil and headed on the 10 East. Caught some sun, did some swimming and tried to stay away from the Mac
and emails. Coachella was amazing! Caught The Weeknd, Modeselektor, Dj Shadow, Gaslamp Killer, Calvin Harris and of
course Dre, Snoop and Tupac. Thanks to Dru and Evangeline for being such awesome tour guides and of course
The Saguaro for awesome hospitality!

RANDOM | COME ON FEET
Todays adventure consisted of walking from Amoeba LA to The Virgil tonight. I’ve been walking a lot and today
I decided to trek across LA on foot to my gig tonight with the camera in hand. I made a stop at Amoeba for
Record Day and caught KCRW’s Gary Calamar doing his thing at Space 1520. My feet are sore but it was a
great walk.

MIGUEL CONTRERAS LEARNING CENTER | THE BEATS!
Great day at Miguel Contreras Learning Center working with the kiddos. We took a week of from beat matching and
scratching and started playing around the with MPC. It’s always interesting to see how fast these young adults
grasp the concept of time, ryhthm and sound.

CICLAVIA RECAP
I intended to hit up DTLA and try out my Lomo lens but ended up getting caught up at CicLAvia.
Over 20,000 bikers paraded across the streets of Los Angeles which originated in Bogota Columbia
every Sunday. There was a great feeling in LA today. An elder mentioned to me at the corner of Olive and
6th street that you can hear the tranquility on the streets. She was right.

MEAR ONE | THE FRUSTRATING BEAUTIFUL JPEGS
Last Tuesday night I was excited to open for Rhymesayers artist Brother Ali. While at the venue, Mear One stepped up and
began doing his thing on the canvas. I took pics and grew frustrated with my shutter speed, my ISO and the pics. And Mear
was just doing his thing super fast! But once I got home I actually liked what I saw. Enjoy!

WEEK THREE | INTRO TO DJING AND DJ CULTURE w/ LEFTO
Wrapped up week 3 of the “Intro to Djing” Course at Miguel Contreras Learning Center in DTLA. This week I introduced them
to Serato after having mastered vinyl in the previous two classes. Also on hand to help out was Dj Lefto who is in town for the
Homage event this Thursday. Lefto showed them how to work doubles and use Serato to do a live remix on the fly.
Once again the kiddo’s were pretty fast in grasping the concepts of rocking doubles on the turntables.

WEEK TWO | INTRO TO DJING AND DJ CULTURE
Yesterday we wrapped Week 2 of my Intro To Dj Course at Miguel Contreras Learning Center. We broke out doubles and began
using the cross fader and beat match which the young adults really caught on to. It amazes me how fast these folks catch on
to things that took me forever to learn. After, I managed to catch the “SAVE OUR SCHOOLS” rally down the street. It was inspiring
to see parents and people in the community come out and speak in opposition of cutting Adult Schools, Art programs and
the handing out of pink slips to our educators.

INSTAGRAM | RANDOM
Seriously, my Instragram skills are on point. Sometimes I break out the Nikon D90 and other times I just break out the Iphone
and snap away. Especially during random moments like below when the Nikon is no where in sight. These are some of my personal
favorites. Make sure to add me if you are on Instagram!
