This week has been crazy for me personally. My perspective on life changed a bit due to a sudden health scare and the entire time I walked more, sat in the shower more, thought more and restricted myself from more work. But the camera was still in hand. Peep the pics!

Yesterday I took my friend Nick through the backstreets and crevices of DTLA’s Fashion District then over to Chinatown for a bit with the camera in hand. Bumped into Tati and Lucas over at Grand Park for a cool hang session. Peep the snapshots!

Ive been sitting on this one for two days. Did the chops and it felt empty till I threw in the synths. By day two I added the breaks and different parts as well as using samples from different sessions. The original is flawless but I wanted to have it hang on a Venice Beach vibe. Hope you dig! Sometimes at SXSW you just have to be at the right place at the right time. I found myself in line with some great folks who provided optimism of getting into the free exclusive Depeche Mode show at Brazos Hall in Austin. It was an adventure and somehow I ended up inside no more than 10 feet away from the band! Peep the pics!

I sat here writing about how incredible this brother is but scrapped it. You need to witness it live! Words can do no justice to a Jose James + band show.
It was great tho to see Richard Spaven on the drums! Big up to everyone that came out tonight and got to see first hand live musicianship at its finest!
