I first got hipped to these kids by one of their tracks entitled 5 Days which was on repeat and in rotation during my sets on KCRW. I began to get some positive feedback regarding the cut and I began to grow more curious. I had no idea where they were from or what they looked like. I could have sworn this must of had been some re edit/remixed vocal from the Al B Sure era of soul and someone decided to slap some cool beats and sounds to accompany the project. I was dead wrong. These two young brothers from LA are creating some of the best late night alternative soul music today. I Just got my hands on the new album which is set to drop February 19th. I’ll be playing a couple of old and new cuts tonight on the radio so if your up late join me from midnight – 3 am.
