It was a super long day of running around the city and prepping new episodes of The Collective on NUVOtv but once I got home it time to find new records and gems to air on the radio show at midnight. It as then I found out the passing of the Godfather Of House music Frankie Knuckles had passed away. It was a pretty heavy moment for a lot of us but I sat there not really believing it. In celebration of his life the final hour of the show is dedicated to his music. It’s also a free download! I hope you enjoy it as much as the opening track from Brazil’s Karol Conka! After a long day out at Grand Park I headed home to prep for this show. It was the end of a long work week at Latido at Cana, Friday at  Zanzibar and Saturday at Sayers. I got some rest then headed over to KCRW and felt my second wind! And boy did it kick in!  It had to have been the amazing tunes to kick off the first set.
