It’s been crazy! More snapshots coming! Here’s the first couple of days in TO! Big thanks and love to all the wonderful folks who came out to the Drake Underground party on Sunday. It was a truly humbling experience to get to meet lots of folks who tune in every Monday night to the show. Also, love to Koray, Nik, Gil, Maylee, Elijah, Ces, Jason, Brenda, Basement Blog, Birthday Boy, Elise, Octavio and everyone else I got to meet on this trip.

It was great to be back at my ole’ stomping grounds at Zanzibar for NYE. It was also great to be surrounded by old friends on the dance floor and see so many familiar faces! Human connection can really push me to step things up when behind the turntables. A big big thank you to the staff and friends. And yoooo!! Snakes? Fire Eaters? This spot was something else!

Rain vibes always keep a crowd indoors. Big love to all the folks who helped us celebrate an end to a work week accompanied by a little rain and thunder. It was a fun feel and I managed to break out some records I totally forgot I had in my collection. It was also good to see some regulars in the building getting down with KG Superstar and myself. Another fun night in the books! Big thanks to all the friends, dancers, lovers and fam that came out tonight and helped us end a work week. Lord knows I needed a Friday like this. We had an early crowd by 10 pm and from then on and it was foot on the pedal.

First jump off of the New Year at THE GOODS at Zanzibar! We got things moving a little early with such a great crowd. As usual yours truly going into full beast mode at 10 pm all the way till lights are up. It was nice to see some of my Saturday night crowd over on the west side! Big love to all who came out. What a night! What a night! Energy was turnt up and folks got down with us for another fam bam Friday night edition of The Goods. Big thanks to KG Superstar for always bringing the healthy juices to balance out the slice of pizza I grabbed en route to Zanzibar. I usually take a walk around the block before hitting the turntables and I could already hear the crowd inside going insane to a pre mix I had made earlier in the day. I walked into to see about 50 people losing their minds and then it was time to take it up a notch. We hope to see you next week for our final jump off in 2013! Before going super Hollywood I use to do this party on the corner of Virgil and Santa Monica Blvd on Saturday nights at Little Temple. We called it Fast Fwd because we were always thinking ahead. Well, not really but it just sounded cool. Anywhere from 300-400 plus folks use to swing through on our night that celebrated the LA community. I loved every single Saturday because we built friendships here. And our friends made friends. It was also around the time when Social Media really began to take off and we experimented with photography, projections, live instruments into the fold. It was unlike anything in LA. Fellow Dj’s Destroyer, Puffs, Jahkova, The Remitch, Baby Bubba, Full Crate (Amsterdam), The Whooligan (SF) J1 (RIP) Wonway Possibul (SF) all swung through and rocked our crowd. KG Superstar would rock the mic and I would always have the time of my life. Good times!
