The past 3 weeks have been challenging for me personally. Somehow I have made it from point a to point b across town in a matter of minutes from gig to gig. Somehow in the midst of the future madness of the new show (ahem.. more to come), I’ve managed to direct a video with Holly Gable + Dexter Story, knock out two remixes for…. more on that later and also work on my own forthcoming EP. I really can’t wait for you to see that!  Sometimes I put too much on plate but along the way I like to capture the madness with either my I Phone 6 + or D90. It’s a roller coaster no doubt but it’s fun. Right? Follow me on instagram for the real time adventure!

The past few week’s have been a cooler coaster. Getting re tweeted and grammes by Rosario Dawson was kind of cool but attending Manifest Justice and hearing Trayvon Martin’s mother speak was tough. Also tough was the vigil for Brendon Glenn who was shot and killed by LAPD.  Following all this was our KCRW Pledge drive and hanging out with mother was kind of cool.  Hope you dig!  Follow me on instagram!

Shout outs to 4th and Spring for the invite to check out some cool hidden treasures in DTLA including abandoned living areas and helipads resting high above the city, guarded by patrols. We linked up and worked our way up to a “certain building” and managed to slip through “certain obstacles” to grab these snapshots as the sun set. Check out 4th and Spring’s work here.  More snapshots on the way! Check back soon!

It’s been an amazing and interesting few weeks. Had a ball at The SLS in Vegas before taking a two week break from all the residencies. Then headed over to The Crescent Ballroom in Phoenix and meeting some wonderful folks who listen to my radio show. It always amazes me when I travel and meet folks who are familiar with what I do cause in the big picture of things I truly don’t know what I am doing. Just taking pics, playing records and getting to know folks across the country. Hope you dig these snapshots. And the Grand Canyon was freaking awesome!

Great way to start off the day bypassing the Italian Day Parade on 7th Avenue and exploring Washington Park and I met the Birdman. This brother was really cool and loved the birds. I think upon first glance I could understand why this might freak out some folks but I appreciated his love for the birds. In such a chaotic city it was nice to see his affection for pigeons.
