A lot has changed since I started this blog. I was much more active but with dj gigs and shooting dates with Crate Diggers/Live Alive on FUSE, my time is very much limited. Yet I still love sharing my adventures with you. I always make it a point to carry a camera or keep my I phone close for these snapshots.
The Underachievers latest mix tape is super nice. I’m totally sold that we are in the second coming of the golden era of Hip Hop. I’ve played these guys a few times last year on the radio show. You can grab Indigoism. It amazes me how folks are giving away such greatness when I would easily drop a $20 for this! Anyhoo, peep the video from the East Flatbush’s duo.
I found a dvd of his TV Party series about 4 years ago and fell in love with this guy. A collection of clips from Glenn O’Brien’s cable access show in NY during the hey day of punk/New Wave and birth of Rap. TV PARTY featured Basquiat, Blondie and countless other characters in the NY art scene who would stop by. It was low budget dialogue and performances at its best. I found some recent videos with Glenn. His views are awesome! Get to know Glenn!
