I’m not sure why but for the most part of my daily errands I carry my camera or I phone in the ready position and ready to capture anything that might catch my eye. Today was just super magical. We got to explore United Record Pressing which use to press up over a thousand records a month during the reign of Motown. There is so much history and yet the pressing continues! Arnold’s Country Kitchen was the highlight on the food front. Puckers was comforting, Merchant had an amazing and tasteful burger, but Arnold’s hit the spot with their Meat and Three menu. Next up was RCA Studio B! Standing on the cue spots where Elvis once stood was pretty magical. Also hearing the sorted string sections in this magical studio gave me chills. Next up is Bonnaroo!

Looking forward to exploring this city’s rich history. Can’t share much but me and the Fuse Team are running around Bonnaroo, eating at some of the best Southern eateries, doing some record digging and checking out some of the coolest historic studios in the area. Big thanks to FUSE for sending me to cover some of the historic musical landmarks across NOLA during the Voodoo Experience! I really got a first hand taste of the richness that makes New Orleans so unique. On my final day,  I decided to venture off into the Lower Ninth Ward. I talked to some of the locals to get a first hand account of what happened years prior. I was curious about the rebuilding. I left feeling moved by the spirit by the community. These are some of the snapshots taken on my Olympus and I Phone 6 Plus.  During my walk with the camera, I kept in mind that over 1,800 folks lost their lives during this rough time. I wanted to share with you first hand of what I felt through these series of shots.

The past several days here in Tokyo have been visually incredible. I always knew in order for me to maintain this passion with the camera that it would involve me being far away from home. For some odd reason I picked Tokyo on an open date to just pack up and leave. Things have been crazy with projects back home but I needed a spiritual reset . I landed a gig with some cool folks in Shabuya, mediated with Monks in Kyoto and just enjoyed being alone. Hope you dig these snapshots!

The past 3 weeks have been challenging for me personally. Somehow I have made it from point a to point b across town in a matter of minutes from gig to gig. Somehow in the midst of the future madness of the new show (ahem.. more to come), I’ve managed to direct a video with Holly Gable + Dexter Story, knock out two remixes for…. more on that later and also work on my own forthcoming EP. I really can’t wait for you to see that!  Sometimes I put too much on plate but along the way I like to capture the madness with either my I Phone 6 + or D90.
