Surfing the blogosphere and bumped into the really cool video of graff/tattoo artist Mike Giant. Watching him execute this giant piece on a company wall was inspiring considering the limited amount of tools he had. His utilization of space is really cool as well. I think I watched this clip 4 times in a row. I also enclosed a second clip to get an understanding of his ways. Hope you dig both clips!

ON MY MIND KING MOST

It’s been a good month for my band LOS GIRLS. We dropped our Ep on Plug Research, became Today’s Top Tune on Morning Becomes Eclectic and now we get a remix/refix/re-direction from one of our favorite dj’s!  King Most steps up to the plate with this up tempo heater which features Jason Joseph on vocals. You can hear this awesome podcast I did with Most or you can grab the original EP here.  Nick Rosen and I just kinda vibes, brought in a cello, guitar, bass, mpc, shakers kick drums and hit record on this project which we are super proud of.

I am back up in the bay. Thanks to the kind folks behind the Fiesta Frida party at the Women’s Center for bringing me up to play.  Traveling to get there was a bit of a challenge due to cancelled flights into the bay but I made it!  The minute I got to the room I hit the sack. I’m usually against have folks come through Monday nights into the basement. I like my zone. I like to set a zone but after having Max and Dean come out and help with the playlists it’s been smooth sailing!  These two are very helpful. And last night the universes were on my side when I got word SF dj/remixer/tastemaker/twitter funny man King Most was in the area.  Then I got an email from Budamunk, who is one of my favorite producers out of Japan and part of the Jazzy Sport collective, was in LA for a couple of weeks. I invited them both to swing through and hang out. Being that it was too last minute for guest dj sets, I asked that they bring some records and throw some gems and rarities onto their memory sticks and share some new sounds with our listeners.  3 hours of of heaters!!
