I’m not sure why but for the most part of my daily errands I carry my camera or I phone in the ready position and ready to capture anything that might catch my eye. Below are a series of snapshots from Dallas, Watts, Venice and various dj gigs around town. All shots caught on my I phone 6 Plus or Nikon D90.

The past several days here in Tokyo have been visually incredible. I always knew in order for me to maintain this passion with the camera that it would involve me being far away from home. For some odd reason I picked Tokyo on an open date to just pack up and leave. Things have been crazy with projects back home but I needed a spiritual reset . I landed a gig with some cool folks in Shabuya, mediated with Monks in Kyoto and just enjoyed being alone. Hope you dig these snapshots!

It’s been a crazy yet amazing few weeks. Learning and hearing first hand stories w/ Dallas Austin, watching LA band Dawes soundcheck prior to their performance on MBE, Q&A w/ Bomba Estereo at Red Bull, hosting How To Dress Well at Make Music Pasadena and wrapping things up w/ a Dodger game. Wheew! Big thanks to the kiddos at Global Education Academy for allowing me to hang this morning and talk about my “career”.

Shout outs to 4th and Spring for the invite to check out some cool hidden treasures in DTLA including abandoned living areas and helipads resting high above the city, guarded by patrols. We linked up and worked our way up to a “certain building” and managed to slip through “certain obstacles” to grab these snapshots as the sun set. Yesterday after hitting up the Artist and Fleas Market I walked over to one of my favorite LA spots, the 6th Street Bridge and began taking snapshots. I have always brought friends and tourists to this area. Word is reconstruction and a possible face lift may change this landmark’s image but I wanted to capture these images that have always connected DTLA to Boyle Heights and East LA. If you ever get a chance, head below the bridge to an open walk/driveway that leads you directly to the wash.

It’s been an amazing and interesting few weeks. Had a ball at The SLS in Vegas before taking a two week break from all the residencies. Then headed over to The Crescent Ballroom in Phoenix and meeting some wonderful folks who listen to my radio show. It always amazes me when I travel and meet folks who are familiar with what I do cause in the big picture of things I truly don’t know what I am doing. Just taking pics, playing records and getting to know folks across the country. Hope you dig these snapshots. And the Grand Canyon was freaking awesome!

Last week’s snapshots are just about all over. Took some great walks along the boardwalk in Venice before the rain and managed to get some cool arial shots over the desert.
