Last night felt good! It was a crazy weekend and to just be able to hit the basement alone, dim the lights and play the music that I love felt good. Some serious healing for my soul and hopefully yours. New music from Tiny Hearts, Pusha T, Foreign Exchange, Elvis Costello w/ The Roots, The Foreign Exchange, Nosaj Thing, The Robert Glasper Experiment plus some Patti Smith, Los Pecos and Donell Jones in the mix .  I appreciate your ears and us keeping each other company every Monday night!  Hope you dig this!

Played this on my radio show a couple of times (Clean version of course) and am really looking forward to actually sitting down and listening to this entire record.  The Weeknd always has this way of singing in such a dark manner of situations that would normally require excitement from others.  I’ve always appreciated that about him. It’s like success during a storm.  That Pharrell remix of Wanderlust is something special but this chorus has been on my mind often. Any time Drizzy + Weeknd team up I can expect something nice form the two.

This is possibly one of my favorite Weeknd songs out of his current catalogue of music. I remember playing this on KCRW earlier last year and having it on repeat.  “Rolling Stone” showcases not only his vocal range but excellent song writing. So great to see this brother building a bigger buzz post Coachella. Peep the video!
